While Bryan, Marc and I were in Costa Rica, Dad and Sheila came to visit and keep Melody and Thomas from getting in trouble. Near as we can tell, they all had a great time and consumed lots of sugar, stayed up til dawn…well, actually, we don't know all they did because it was "grandparent time" but they all seemed to come out of the experience unscathed (Dad and Sheila looked a little tired… The weather was St. Louis at its worst- hot and humid- so it's amazing they did anything at all besides hiding in the basement. Anyway, they toured Old Town St. Charles.

Saw some art.

Went to the zoo and petted stingrays.

Went to the science center, one of our favorite hangouts. 

And when we got back, we took them to our favorite toxic waste site, and climbed to the highest spot in the county.

 Thanks so much to you, Dad and Sheila, for taking such good care of Melody and Thomas so we could go on our trip. Sorry it was so hot while you were here. The weather cooled down right after you left and now it is beautiful. Want to come back?
